Freedom. The first thing that comes to mind when dreaming about wandering the world for most travelers. The passport is an instant ticket to dozens of countries for many of us. Today, we’d ask that you stop and think about the plight of those who have had their freedom and passports taken from them, and what YOU can do to help eliminate and eradicate this issue affecting tens of millions around the world, including the United States.
Giving Tuesday, founded by 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, began in 2012 as a way to balance out the excessive consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, allowing shoppers to give something back to causes close to their hearts.
As we work to bring awareness to Human Trafficking around the world, today we look at ways to give to those amazing organizations who are fighting the good fight on the ground, rehabilitating victims, working for justice, and helping to eradicate the issue.
